Stranahan Studio

Everything in-house.
By design.

Most studios are assemblers.

They shoot — on digital, on film — and then hand off: film to an outside lab, RAW files to an editing suite they don’t own, proofs to a third-party platform, archives to someone else’s servers. Every handoff is a point where quality and the client relationship are partially outside their control.

Stranahan Studio was built on a different premise. Everything that happens between the moment the shutter closes and the moment a final image is in a client’s hands happens here — in our lab, on our software, through our portal, under our name.

Not because outsourcing is wrong. Because we believe that true quality control means owning the entire chain — and that the client experience should be an expression of craft at every step, not just during the shoot.

01

The Lab

We shoot on digital and on film. Digital files run through our own pipeline from the moment the card is read. Film is developed in our own darkroom — built from scratch, never shipped to an outside lab, never on someone else’s timeline. Regardless of format, the chain of custody for every frame begins and ends with us.

02

The Software

A proprietary image editing and delivery platform — our own Look engine, our own effects system, our own metadata pipeline. Built for this work, by the people doing it.

03

The Pipeline

From memory card or film scan to delivered file, every step runs on infrastructure we own. Private client portal. Cloudflare-backed delivery. Forensic watermarks on every export. A system — not a patchwork of subscriptions.

Image management from the card

Auto-organizes by capture date and file type using embedded EXIF metadata the moment a folder is opened.

Proprietary Look & effects engine

Composable, stackable color grades built on discrete image processing effects. Precise. Entirely ours.

Unbroken metadata, capture to delivery

Every exported file carries original camera data alongside copyright, edit information, and a unique per-image identifier. Files are self-documenting.

Dual invisible watermark

Two independent marks embedded in the pixel data of every export. Survives re-saves and social compression. Forensic accountability built into the file itself.

Private client portal

Not Pixieset. Not Dropbox. A purpose-built, PIN-gated space for each client — on our infrastructure, under our name.

Cloud archival on infrastructure we control

One company. One stack. One place where the work lives — no third-party dependency chain.

Stranahan Studio is coming to independent photographers.

The same integrated workflow that powers Stranahan Media Co. — available for any photographer who believes their client experience should be entirely their own.
